It's TEACHER'S DAY

1/9/2004 is Teacher's Day. What a year it has been for all the teachers. Not just only the teachers in our mainstream schools, but also those in City Harvest Children's Church!! We all have worked together earnestly throughout the year for the kids. Though we might have met with some discouragement, but there certainly are lessons that we can take from them. Hopefully, in the coming year, We all will be able to grow from glory to glory, from faith to faith, from strength to strength. Let's all strive for the future of our children!!!

About The Service on 27/8/2004

Wow....!!! Another great week....!! Well, this week's service really speaks to us. Indeed, we need to avoid ways that doesn't help us cure our hurts. In fact, like what Pastor Derek says, that the more we hide, we escape, we suppress our hurts, the more resentful we'll become, because we tend to accumulate them and vent them out on others, often causing grievous damage to other's, physically or materially. So, let's all share our hurts with one another and pray for each other and encourage each other. Amen..!!!

I've Learnt

I've learnt in my Cell Group yesterday about the importance of prayer. It's so life transforming that I have to admit that the words pierce through my heart. I believe that everyone needs prayer, because prayer WORKS!! We must also pray until something happens! Just like what Pastor Kong says: We've got to push ourselves, DO NOT let our flesh controls us but instead we should be defiant and tell the devil to BACK OFF and stop trying to influence me. I think what makes a spiritual christian is prayer. Holy Spirit is "Prayer-phile", meaning that Holy Spirit likes prayer. So why don't we all pray? After all, it takes more energy to work, to play, to study. than to pray right?

My Biography

I am rather a Dominant guy with of course a "D" personality. I am also a devout Christian who never fails to attend church service in City Harvest Church and Cell Group Meetings, one of the highlights of CHC. I like to play soccer, but that does not mean that I am fit! I suffer from migraine since I was primary 5 and had since been in and out of hospital seven times in the past eight years. My life is full of ups and downs. I scored a distinction for science during my secondary 2 year. I was thrilled and full of joy as this is the first and only I scored anything better than a B grade for science. However, my studies took a drastic turn. my secondary 3 year was a Roller Coaster ride. I scored the highest in my class for almost every single subject at the beginning of the year. However, ever since I came back from the Outwrd Bound Course in March, I became very lazy and refused to study, I managed to scrap through secondary 3 and in secondary 4, I scored badly for my "O" Levels. However, I did managed to do a 3-year Pre-U course. I was disappointed, but never gave up. How will I fare for my upcoming "A" Levels? Well, stay tuned.
